A charity which helps servicemen and women will benefit when a Todmorden hair stylist gives a certain cut over the next two months.

Kayleigh Thompson is a stylist at Salon 85, Halifax Road, Todmorden, and together with salon owner Ryan Garvey has come up with a scheme by which means that £10 from every £45 cut-and-colour she undertakes in May and June will go to Help The Heroes, the national charity which helps servicemen and women.

Kayleigh’s brother Jordan, 19, has served in Afghanistan with the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment, and they decided they wanted to help a charity which helped members of the services.

Kayleigh, 20, said: “We’re now hoping as many people as possible book in for a cut and colour with me.”

Ryan said he was delighted to help and said: “We’re definitely looking forward to a busy couple of months for a good cause.”
