Let all enjoy your beautiful, great gardens

Todmorden In Bloom’s major project for 2015 is an Open Gardens Event to be held from Friday to Sunday, July 10 to 12, 2015.

We hope to establish this Open Garden Event as a regular feature for future years on Todmorden’s summer calendar.

We are lucky to already have several offers to open gardens that weekend from members and core friends who regularly enter (and win!) Todmorden in Bloom’s Garden Competition, a well established annual event which we have organized for many years past.

These gardens range from a flower and art packed courtyard, to an average sized back garden full of flowers, fruit and vegetables incorporating artistic features, to an acre sized plot with superb planting and bird feeding plus attractive pathways and features.

Please consider opening your garden.

We hope to be producing a local map very soon showing the Open Garden sites with a key to accessibilty, bus route availability, together with Todmorden in Bloom’s own town centre garden displays etc.

Open Garden entrants are not obliged to provide anything for visitors, though it is probably better if you are there when your garden is open. It doesn’t matter how big or small your plot is, what matters is a willingness to share it with others.

Todmorden in Bloom invite all applications to be submitted by February 21, 2015, in order for us to get all the necessary plans and details in place for July 10-12. An application form is here, left, or you can collect one from Todmorden TIC opposite Todmorden Town Hall at 11 Burnley Road from 10am – 4pm Mondays to Saturdays.
