Let’s see it first, says rail company

NETWORK Rail have advised safety campaigners that a site inspection would be necessary before they could erect any “pigeon defences” at a railway bridge.

Todmorden Accident Prevention Council feel Network Rail are taking a long time to deal with a simple problem at the Burnley Road, Cornholme, bridge, where the amount of droppings from the number of birds congregating there has caused them concern.

They said they continued to look forward to the work being completed at the earliest opportunity.
