Why was the town shut down on Saturday, November 23, for a procession of people waving paper lanterns and others in funny clothes playing discordant music?
Such practices may well occur in the European Union with town centres closed down for hours and even dancing in the streets.
Look, we are British and hard working and we need to keep our roads open for business and not have them closed down for these community frivolities.
I commend the authorities for doing all it could to reduce the impact on traffic even though there was gridlock within ten minutes of the event starting.
If it were to happen again perhaps somewhere on the tops would be suitable.
