Hebden Bridge's co-operative pub the Fox and Goose will hold a beer festival as its first community event

Preparations are now well underway at the Fox and Goose in Hebden Bridge for the Spring Bank beer festival – the first major community event since becoming West Yorkshire’s first co-operative pub.

More than 40 festival beers and ciders have now been ordered from a range of real ale breweries, ready for when the doors open at noon on Friday, May 23.

The event, which goes on throughout the Bank Holiday weekend is a celebration of the co-operative purchase and it is hoped that the whole community will turn out to raise a toast along with regulars and shareholders at the Heptonstall Road pub. Entry is free and the festival will be open from noon until closing, Friday to Monday.

Real ale fans can now view the beer list on foxandgoose.org
