TODMORDEN Lions president Michael Clarkson presented the club’s bouquet of the month to Kathryn Kerr.
Kathryn was nominated by her cousin Mavis Peach, a resident at Millreed Lodge, Walsden.
“Last year Kathryn visited me every week while I was ill in a home in Halifax, even through snow and ice,” Mavis said.
“As she doesn’t drive, this was sometimes a very long day.”
Following a leg amputation Mavis moved to Todmorden, since when Kathryn has visited every week to take her shopping or out for lunch.
Lions welfare chairman Michael Gill said: “We were pleased to be able to help Mavis give Kathryn the recognition she deserves.”
