Artist captures chippy in Lowry style

AN artist appreciates her local chippy so much that she has presented a painting of it to the owners.
Carolann Trustlove-Smith loves the way Ingham Plaice, Stansfield Road, Todmorden, is a beacon of warmth and light and offered to produce a painting of the shop for owners Geoff and Susan Ingham after some work had been completed on the outside of the building.
Carolann said: “I came in and talked to Susan about what I might produce and have opted for a painting done in the Lowry style.”
Geoff and Susan have worked in the business for 40 years and this is their seventh shop, previously running businesses at at Friendly, Rochdale, two in Bradford, Ripponden and Huddersfield.
