St John Fellowship members are hoping people will call in for a cuppa when they host a fundraising coffee morning for the Jerusalem Eye Hospital on Saturday, May 3, at Central Methodist Church, Bramsche Square, Todmorden (10am to noon).
A spokesman said: “The Eye Hospital benefits all races and religions, and all the money raised at the coffee morning goes directly to the Eye Hospital, helping with expenses and prolonging treatment for all diseases of the eye.
“There is no cost to patients who otherwise could not pay for their treatment.
“Doctors attend the hospital from several countries, including the U.S. and Britain.
“They also have outreach clinics enabling many more patients to be treated.
“Last year the hospital treated more than 45,000 patients. People have supported us so well in the past and we look forward to seeing them again, and new customers, on Saturday, May 3.
The Fellowship hosts a couple of coffee mornings a year to help the hospital.
