Call out for Lydgate bloom volunteers
LYDGATE is the next area Todmorden In Bloom is hoping to recruit extra volunteers in, to ensure the area is looking good.
Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Mary Clear on 01706 548133 or Jean Butterworth on 01706 817492.
The aim is for volunteers to help clear out any "grot" sports and get the area looking its best. Todmorden In Bloom is working towards covering as many areas of the town as possible. Jean explained: "We could have a terrific gold-winning town if there are enough people to do it."
Todmorden In Bloom's next general clean-up and planting day is on Sunday, March 21, from 1pm to 2pm. Meet at Fielden Wharf in the town centre.
