Staff at a charity shop have thanked the volunteers and customers who helped them raise funds for a national campaign.

The Age UK shop, on Halifax Road, Todmorden, held a bake sale as part of Bobble Day, which aims to raise money to keep older people warm in winter.

Shop manager Holly Whitlockpictured left, with Debbie Feather, said a total of £34.50 was raised on the day.

“It was brilliant,” she said. “A few of us baked cupcakes. The customers were fantastic and came in to buy them. We got a few donations as well to top up the money.

“We also sold a few of the fluffy bobbles. It was a great day. I’d like to say a big thank you to all our customers, volunteers and everbody who helped to bake buns. We did a really good job and I’m really proud of everybody.”
