Homeowners are being warned to take care when they light fires in their homes after a chimney fire on Sunday night.

Fire crews were called to a house on Bank Street, Todmorden, at 7.45pm, where a fire had started in the chimney.

No major damage was caused but firefighters are urging people to make sure their chimneys have been swept before they light any fires.
