Come and join theatre jobs day
Roll up your sleeves and grab a duster and you could help get one of Todmorden’s largest community buildings ready for the new season.
That’s the call to arms from members of TAODS, the community group that own and run the Hippodrome Theatre. The annual jobs day is on Sunday, September 2 from 9am when members, friends and helpers all help get the Hippodrome Theatre on Halifax Road ready for the new season. “Whilst extensive damage to the backstage areas in the June floods is being repaired by local firm HRS, there are still plenty of jobs to do,” said Steve Clarkson of TAODS. Jobs will range from cleaning and polishing to painting and basic DIY jobs.
There will be a lunch for all volunteers. More information can be found at www.todhip.org.
