Council funding for memory packs

A TOTAL of £250 of town council funding will go towards setting up a service to help people with memory problems.

Members of the town council’s amenities committee agreed to give the money to the Todmorden Memory Pack Scheme, which is looking to establish a reminiscence service to aid orientation for people with memory problems.

Coun Anne James said: “It’s an excellent idea.

“A lot of hard work and effort has been put into it.”

Coun Jayne Booth said a review of care in Calderdale found more support was needed in this area.
