Days of foolery for flood appeal

THREE days of tomfoolery raised cash for the Pakistan Flood Appeal.

St George's Square in Hebden Bridge became a carnival site for the first two days, with handicrafts, fun and music, organised by Tom The Busker and artist Anne Knight.

The third day featured a variety show at Holme Street Arts Centre, Hebden Bridge.

- TICKETS are now available for the fundraising concert organised by Todmorden Rotary Club.

Featuring the Halifax Concert Band, it will take place at Todmorden Town Hall on Saturday, October 16 (7.30pm).

Tickets for the concert, which is sponsored by Gordon Rigg Nurseries, Walsden, and supported by Todmorden Town Council, are priced at 9 (concessionary rate 6.50). There is also a 'family' ticket which is for two adults and two concessions, and is priced at 25.
