Firefighters attended a “deliberate” rubbish fire in Abbey Park, Halifax, last night (Sunday).

The incident happened at around 7.30pm and firefighters believe it was set alight deliberately by fly tippers.

The crew from Illingworth Fire Station used one hose reel to extinguish the flames.

They left around 20 minutes later.
