Guiders brewing up for charity
Todmorden Trefoil Guild, part of GirlguidingUK, are holding a coffee morning in aid of two charities.
Last year the guild held a coffee morning at Central Methodist Church, Bramsche Square, Todmorden, as part of the Guiding Centenary Challenge to all sections of the association, which raised over 300. This money was divided between the Forget-me-not-Trust and Overgate Hospice, both local hospice charities.
This year's coffee morning will take place on Saturday, September 11, and run from 10am to noon at the Central Methodist Church.
All the money raised will be given to the same hospices as last year.
As well as refreshments there will be a home produce stall and a tombola. Admission is 1. A guild spokesman said tickets can be bought beforehand from any member of the Guild (phone 01706 813568 or 812009 for more details) or simply just come on the day and enjoy yourself.
