Indian officers on Todmorden tour
A TEAM of high-ranking Indian police officers had a tour of Todmorden during a two-day visit to West Yorkshire.
The 73 officers arrived in the UK as part of the Anglo-Indian collaboration between the two governments on justice issues.
While in Todmorden, they met with the Upper Valley Neigbourhood Policing Team and Incredible Edible Todmorden to see partnership working first hand.
Chf Supt Chris Hardern, for Calderdale District Police, said: “I was very impressed with the group’s enthusiasm and their interest in how we police in the UK.
“Hosting foreign officers is a vital experience for both sides as it is an opportunity for us to learn from each other.”
The visit focused on community policing, partnership working, environmental strategies, crime mapping and anti-corruption.
