Jack’s Big Smash aims to raise lots of charity cash
Cpl Jack Stanley
A CHARITY cricket match in memory of a Todmorden soldier will take place on Saturday, September 1.
After being postponed earlier in the summer due to bad weather, Jack’s Big Smash will go ahead at Todmorden Cricket Club’s Centre Vale ground, on Burnley Road, starting at 4pm.
A Jack’s House select XI will face a Todmorden Cricket Club XI in the 20/20 match, which is aiming to raise funds for charity in memory of Jack Stanley, who died in April after being injured while serving in Afghanistan.
Admission on the gate is £3 for adults and £1.50 for concessions. Free entry for children under 12.
Organisers are hoping for a big crowd to help raise lots of money for charity.
