Learning from your party leader?

Higher Green End, Shore, Todmorden.

YOU report (March 4) that Councillor Craig Whittaker, who has had Cabinet responsibility at Calderdale for children and young people’s services for the past three years, tells us that he is “not responsible for what went wrong” when Calderdale children were left at significant risk due to the council’s failings.

Maybe Mr Whittaker is learning from his party leader? For on the same day, David Cameron told us he “did not know” that the Conservative deputy chairman, Lord Ashcroft, has not paid millions of pounds on his earnings, despite undertakings he made in 2000 to get his peerage.

Seems like power without responsibility. And these people want to be responsible for governing our country?
