Lorry on fire in Todmorden

Firefighters were called to put out a lorry on fire in Todmorden this afternoon.

The blaze at Hey Head Lane, near Todmorden Golf Club, was reported at 1.10pm.

The brakes of the vehicle are understood to have overheated, causing the flames.

The lorry was carrying gas cylinders but the fire teams, from Bradford and Bacup, managed to stop the fire in the cab spreading to the rest of the lorry.
