Louts who fought on train appear in court
Drunken yobs who fought on a train have appeared in court.
Michael Campbell, 21, of Sefton Terrace, Halifax, and Gregory Yeadon, 20, of Park Crescent, Lee Mount, fought on the train from Todmorden to Halifax before a guard forced them off at Hebden Bridge.
Once on the platform Yeadon flew into a rage and shouted racist abuse before headbutting the train. They both admitted using threatening, abusive, insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of unlawful violence. Yeadon admitted a further offence of using racially aggravated words.
Campbell and Yeadon will be sentenced at Calderdale Magistrates’ Court on January 24.
