NEW LEASE OF LIFE
The Halifax Road gateway site, Todmorden
The future looks brighter for two empty town centre sites as interested parties have come forward with the aim of bringing them back into use.
Property Alliance Group (PAG), which owns the Halifax Road site, is marketing the site for potential developers. And McCarthy and Stone has expressed interest in building a retirement complex on the site of the former Abraham Ormerod Centre, on Burnley Road.
Peter Styles, of McCarthy and Stone’s northern region, said: “We’re very enthusiastic about the redevelopment of the former Abraham Ormerod Centre.
“Our plans propose a high quality retirement scheme designed for people in later life.
