Panel re-launch aims to attract more members

A PANEL that helps police and their partners improve the way they handle hate crime is being re-launched.

Calderdale’s race/hate scrutiny panel is set to merge with the area’s homophobic and disability scrutiny panel in a bid to encourage more people to become members.

Volunteers are needed to bring their own views, ideas and experiences to the table and help police and their partners improve the way they deliver their service to the wider community.

Anyone wanting to become a member will receive full training.

For more information, contact Sergeant Sarah Brown in the Halifax Central Neighbourhood Policing Team on 01422 337076.
