Police are appealing for any information about a group of men who stole a large amount of money during an armed street robbery in Bradford.

The incident occured just after 2.30pm today (September 1) on Buck Street, in Bradford city centre.

The two male victims, who did not need hospital treatment, were in the street when a group of five males approached them with one of the suspects brandishing what was thought to be a handgun.

The man holding the weapon assaulted one of the victims before stealing the money and then the group escaped in a black Honda Civic and drove onto the nearby Leeds Road and other side streets.

All suspects have been described as Asian and two of the group had beards.

Detective Sergeant Rob Worley from Bradford CID said: “We would encourage anyone who may see these men not to approach them.

“We are now actively searching for this group and this car and want anyone who may have any information to contact me on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
