Police appeal after ‘flasher’ strikes

Police are appealing for information following a report of indecent exposure in Calderdale.

Neighbourhood Police Inspector for Halifax Central Colin Skeath said: “The incident occurred around 5.30pm on Friday, January 24, when the suspect knocked on the door of a property on Daisy Street, Halifax. When the 20-year-old female victim answered the door the suspect had retreated to the yard gate and exposed himself.

“The suspect remained at the gate for some time until the victim threatened to call the police. He was seen to leave the area on foot and in the direction of West Parade Flats.

“The suspect is described as an light tanned male, possibly Asian, with a scrawny build, short at around 5ft, 5” and aged around 20 years. He was described as having a pointy nose and was wearing a grey coloured deerstalker type hat with a white flap on the front, grey hoodie and dark coloured trousers. He spoke with a Yorkshire accent.”
