Power back on for 1,000 homes

Power has been restored to more than 1,000 homes in Todmorden after almost 24 hours.

A damaged undergroud cable near Pudsey Road, Cornholme, caused power to be lost to 1,166 homes in the area from 5.59pm on Wednesday, March 13.

The road was also closed while Northen Power Grid staff worked to make the necessary repair.

A spokesman for the company said power was restored at 4.15pm this afternoon (Thursday, March 14).
