Spotting the birds in the garden

editorial image

TWITCHERS were on the lookout for birds during a national event.

Members of Todmorden Riverside Improvement Group (TRIG) took part in the RSPB’s Big Garden Bird Watch.

The group had forms to record the birds that they saw during the afternoon. After completing their study, they sent off the forms to the RSPB.

Penny Bennett, from TRIG, said: “We had a good day with about 16 different species of birds, which is the best we have had at one of these events.”

Another is planned in summer.
