Student celebrates at awards evening

A FORMER Todmorden High School student was among those to receive a prize at Burnley College’s Awards for Excellence evening.
Nelson Wan, who achieved excellent grades in English literature, English language, history and mathematics, was one of the award winners at the ceremony.
Nelson, who was a member of the debating team and a student ambassador, has now progressed to study for a law degree at Queen Mary, University of London.
Burnley College principal Hugh Bramwell said: “The Awards for Excellence event is a celebration of the outstanding achievements of our students.”
