'They don't seem to get much right'

CONSERVATIVE-run Calderdale Council doesn't seem to be able to get much right these days.
Be it refuse collection, children's services, recycling or care for the elderly; they seem unable to provide the level of service which local people expect. One gets the impression that if they were a private business they would have gone bust years ago!
The worrying thing is that the Conservatives are talking about running the country along the same lines as how they are running local councils.
Heaven help us if this ever came to pass. It would inevitably lead to a massive increase in emigration. You can imagine the headlines in the newspapers: "If the Conservatives win the election could the last person to leave Britain please turn out the lights!"
