Thieves’ £13k haul from cycle magazine HQ

Four high-value bikes have been stolen during a break-in at a cycling magazine’s office in Todmorden.

The Singletrack office, on Dale Street, was hit in the early hours of Saturday morning by thieves who forced their way into the building.

Police disturbed the offenders at around 4am but they escaped with four bikes, together worth around £13,000.

Staff at the magazine say some of the bikes have been modified to reflect their preferences, such as having pink pedals installed, and so should be recognisable.

They are an orange Cotic Rocket, an Orange Five Pro in apple green, a green Santa Cruz Nickel, and a black, green and white Lapierre XR 529.

For more pictures of the bikes, visit the magazine’s website at www.singletrackworld.com/2012/09/weve-had-a-break-in.

Anyone with information about the theft or the missing bikes should call Detective Constable Richard Drabble in Calderdale CID on 01422 337087 or via 101.

Information can also be passed on anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
