Time to nominate your unsung hero

IT’S time to nominate your unsung heroes for the Citizenship Award for Todmorden 2013.
Todmorden Town Council is asking members of the public to put forward people who make a difference in their local community.
Coun David O’Neill, chairman of the town council’s citizenship award committee, said: ”We are looking to the people of Todmorden to let us know of individuals or even societies who work tirelessly for different charities or organisations. This will be the fourth year that the town council has made these awards and the awards committee looks forward to having a difficult decision to make from all the nominations.”
Application forms are available at the Todmorden Town Council office at Todmorden Community College, at Todmorden Information Centre or on the town council website, www.todmordencouncil.org.uk.
Forms must be returned to the town clerk by December 31.
The recipients of the award and their guests will be invited to the annual Mayor’s Day at Todmorden Town Hall in May, when they will be presented with their certificates by the Mayor of Todmorden Coun Abid Hussain.
