Traffic congestion in the upper Calder Valley

editorial image

MOTORISTS are facing huge delays in getting through the upper Calder Valley this afternoon (Monday, February, 18).

Delays are being caused by three-way temporary traffic lights on Bridge Lanes, Hebden Bridge, and a set of temprary lights on New Road, Hebden Bridge, which have been put up due to emergency works being carried out.

An upper Valley Neighbourhood police team spokesperson wrote on Facebook: “Please be aware of traffic congestion around the Hebden Bridge area. This is being caused by emergency road works that are being carried out, and this work has required the use of temporary traffic lights. To avoid the congestion please find an alternative route.”
