Police searching for missing Leeds man Jason Middlewood have found a body.
The body was found in woods off Baildon Avenue, Kippax, at about 9pm last night.
Detective Inspector John Dexter, of Leeds District CID, said: “Although formal identification is yet to be completed, Mr Middlewood’s family have been told that it is believed to be him. There are no suspicious circumstances and the Leeds Coroner’s Office has been informed.”
Mr Middlewood, 44, was reported missing on Monday after last being seen at his home in Kippax on Saturday morning.
Jason Mark Middlewood, aged 44, was last seen at his home in Kippax at about 5.30am on Saturday, May 17.
He is described as white, about 5ft 5ins tall, slim, with short, light brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a jumper and carrying a brown satchel type bag.
Detective Inspector Paul Conroy, of Leeds District CID, said: “We are very concerned for Jason’s welfare and ask anyone who has seen him or who knows his whereabouts to contact us immediately.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at Elland Road via 101 quoting log number 426 of May 19.
