Snow did not deter Todmorden C of E School pupils as it recorded a 92 per cent attendance rate.

The children came with sledges, wellies, hats and gloves on January 23 and enjoyed a day playing on neighbouring Todmorden Cricket Club’s Centre Vale ground.

Canon Owen Page and local police officers also called in to play.
