We're getting the hotpot ready and looking forward to Lancashire night!

A LANCASHIRE night offering traditional food and entertainment will bring a hillside community together.

The next meeting of the Cross Stone Community Association will be held at the Todmorden Golf Club from 7.30pm on Wednesday, March 24.

One of the organisers, Peter Ransom, said the group hoped it would be a fun social night.

"There will be a chance in the future to have a Yorkshire Night to set the balance right," he added.

The evening will start with Lancashire hot-pot, with a veggie option available. The entertainment will be provided by Ron Davis, with Lancashire dialect poetry told by a Lancashire lad.

"Please feel free to invite new members, and make this meeting just the beginning of a friendly get-together for us folks on the hillside.

"Don't forget to bring your snow stories of this winter!"
