Todmorden
The next Oak over 50s 'Drop-in Friday' will take place at Central Methodist Church on March 19 from 10am until 3pm. Activities include line dancing, Tai Chi, board games, singing, crafts and a new knitting clinic. Tai Chi sessions also take place at Yew Tree Court, Walsden, on Fridays from 9.40am until 10.40am. Chair-based Dru Yoga sessions are held at Roomfield House on Tuesdays from 2-3pm. The final session in the creative writing course will be held on Friday March 19 at 11am. HX7 Jazz presents Jenni Molloy's Bach Reloaded at the Trades Club tonight (Thursday). Double bassist Jenni Molloy's innovative and original compositions have been inspired by some of Bach's cello suites, solo violin sonatas and 'Inventions for the Piano'. Other events in the coming week include Mental Elf Collective with Tarantism plus DJ Badger on Friday March 19. 'The Lovely Bones' is showing at the Picture House from March 19-22. The film centres on Susie Salmon, who was just 14 years-old when she was murdered in December 1973 on her way home from school. The Just Happy To Be Here theatre company are delighted to be calling at Hebden Bridge Little Theatre this weekend to present John Godber's teacher training college comedy I Started With A Kiss.
