Todmorden

The next Oak over 50s 'Drop-in Friday' will take place at Central Methodist Church on April 16 from 10am until 3pm. Activities include line dancing, Tai Chi, board games, singing, crafts and a knitting clinic. Tai Chi sessions also take place at Yew Tree Court, Walsden, on Fridays from 9.40am until 10.40am. Todmorden Community Brass will perform an anniversary concert at Central Methodist Church on Saturday April 17 at 7.15pm to celebrate the band's ninth birthday. Admission to the concert is free but a ticket must be obtained in advance from band members or from Todmorden Tourist Information Centre.

An Age Concern lunch club is held at Walsden Cricket Club every Tuesday at 12 noon. Those who attend can have a two course meal, tea and coffee for 3.25. Hebden Bridge

Jazz sextet Saxophone Summit comes to the Trades Club tonight (Thursday) to perform a selection of jazz standards mixed with contemporary arrangements and compositions by the band members. On Friday April 16 a benefit gig featuring Gaia, Electric Brains and Revolver will be held to raise money for the Cambodia Youth Music Fund.
