Todmorden
The next Oak over 50s 'Drop-in Friday' will take place at Central Methodist Church on April 9 from 10am until 3pm. Activities include line dancing, Tai Chi, board games, singing, crafts and a new knitting clinic. Tai Chi sessions also take place at Yew Tree Court, Walsden, on Fridays from 9.40am until 10.40am. The Fielden Centre hosts a 'Fabulous Folk Night' on Saturday April 10 at 7.30pm, featuring songs, instrumentals, dancing, food and a bar. Entry is 5 and proceeds will go to the World Cancer Research Fund and Macmillan Cancer Support.

Hebden Bridge-based Hibernate recordings presents a live music event at The Hole In T'Wall tonight (Thursday) at 8pm. The event, which will be headlined by Manchester band Last Harbour, will also feature Hidden Bek, Cool Piano Roll and a DJ set by Was Ist Das Soundsystem.
An Easter arts and crafts session organised by the Upper Valley Extended Services team at Hebden Vale Children's Centre will take place at the Methodist Church Hall, Market Street, on Friday April 9 from 10am until 11.30am. 'Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief' is showing at the Picture House until Sunday April 11. In the film, trouble-prone Percy is about to be kicked out of school but that is the least of his worries as the gods of Mount Olympus seem to have walked out of the pages of his Greek mythology texts and straight into his life. ‘Miniature Museums’, a special collection of miniature museums created by children from Heptonstall School, is on display at Heptonstall Museum until October. ‘The fabric of space’, a joint exhibition by local textile artist Laura Hughes and local mixed media artist Brigid Rose, opens at the Coach House Gallery on Saturday April 10.
