Road traffic collision on Thrum Hall Lane involving a 64-year-old woman

A 64-year-old woman in a wheelchair has suffered head injuries in a car accident in Halifax.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Thrum Hall Lane, by the roundabout at Asda supermarket, just after 1pm.

The road was blocked off as emergency crews dealt with the incident involving a black Mercedes.

Reader Jane sent in this picture of the scene and said there was a lady on the pavement in a wheelchair who was getting assistance from a first aider from Asda and the ambulance crew.

It is believed the woman’s injuries are not serious.

The road was fully reopened at 1.55pm.
