Work has begun on a project to install new facilities at Calderdale Council’s Customer First offices in Todmorden Community College.
The work, which began on Monday, will see a new self-service kiosk created in the cash collection area.
Until the work is competed - it is expected to take two weeks - the office will provide a reduced service.
Customers will only be able to make card and cheque payments.
Customers can choose to make payments by Direct Debit, payment line, Pay Zone or online. Payments can also be made at the Post Office or a bank.
Coun Steve Sweeney, Calderdale Council’s cabinet member for communities, said: “This work will allow people an additional way to access council services, and will bring state of the art technology to the Customer First offices in Todmorden.
“The kiosks will improve the service we are able to offer in Todmorden as our advisors will be freed up to concentrate on help and advice.”
