Todmorden Carnival Parade starts at 12.30pm from Sanworth Street, off Halifax Road. The parade will make its way through Todmorden town centre to the carnival field at Centre Vale Park, Todmorden. At around 1.30pm Mayor of Todmorden Coun Abid Hussain will open the on-field activities. This year’s carnival has a “Jubilympics” theme, using the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the 2012 London Olympics as inspiration.
