There was plenty to see by artists of all ages when Todmorden Art Group held its annual exhibition over two days at Todmorden Town Hall.

Packed with paintings, photographs, crafts, jewellery and much more, a spokesperson for the group said the event, which took place on November 1 and 2, was a great success.

It drew a good number of visitors and exhibitors sold a good amount of work, she said.

“The show was a great success and artists sold a variety of paintings, photographs, jewellery and crafts. We would like to thank all artists and visitors for their support, as well as the members from Todmorden Art Group for their hard work in organising a special exhibition for the town.”

There is always a section for the town’s younger artists from Todmorden’s schools, and the Mayor of Todmorden, Coun Michael Gill, was on hand to present their prizes.

The winning children were each awarded a prize of equal value and these were as follows.

Castle Hill: Jowan Thomas-Jones and Liam.

Walsden St Peter’s: Joshua Fielden, Mia Franklin and Finn Parnell.

Ferney Lee: Cid Mathews and Atlanta Taylor.

Cornholme: Emily, Mary and Findley.

Shade: Max, Edith, Lily and Phoebe.
