I WOULD like to say how much my friends and I enjoyed the TAODS production of Dad’s Army.
It was well cast and extremely funny as one would expect having watched the television series.
As usual the team at the Hippodrome produce a very entertaining evening out. We went on Wednesday and the theatre was bursting at the seams.
I do hope people were not put off going to the show after reading the report in the newspaper. The scenery reflected the type of Village Hall around before, after and during the war and enhanced the production. In such surroundings in real life I am sure the group would be hindered by the room, which would be used by many different groups along with their belongings.
TAODS is not a professional company but always produces extremely professional shows. This was no exception. Keep it up!!

WE would just like to compliment Todmorden Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society on their brilliant performance of Dad’s Army.
The casting was excellent and brought to the stage the wit and humour of the TV series. Judging by the reaction of the full house, we are not on our own with this view - this was more than just an evening’s entertainment, it was local drama at its best.
We have a lot of local talent in our town and the Hippodrome is an essential part of the Todmorden community and it is vital that we give it our support so that it continues to be so.
