THERE is now just a week to go before one of the town’s major business showcases.

It is hoped thousands of people - townspeople and visitors alike - will be heading for the two-day Made In Tod event.

It takes place on Saturday and Sunday, March 3 and 4, at Todmorden Town Hall between 10.30am and 4pm each day.

The event has now become a regular fixture in the Todmorden calendar, attracting more than 2,000 people from local and surrounding areas, said Todmorden Business Association chairman Michael Uren.

Michael said the variety of businesses and products made by Todmorden entrepreneurs meant there would be something for everyone to see.

“There will be something there for everybody from amazing horticultural items from Gordon Rigg’s, prize winning local cheese producers Pextenement, home improvements from Cotswold, new ranges of fabrics from Robinwood Curtains and Blinds and much more.

“For the children there will be colouring activities available and on both days at noon and 1pm a 20-minute show is being laid on to entertain them, which will be a mixture of puppet shows, magic and story telling.”

Michael said there will also be a food court with refreshments from Hartley’s, Bear and Food 4 U.
