Man arrested after looting flood-hit town

A man has been arrested on suspicion of stealing white goods from outside a flood-ravaged property in Mytholmroyd.

Officers were called to Burnley Road at 7.30am following reports of a man in a white van stealing goods.

Police located the van nearby and the 40-year-old man, thought to be from Dewsbury, is currently in police custody.

Enquiries are ongoing.
