Masked armed robber raids bookmakers

A masked armed robber wielding a knife stole cash during a raid at a bookmakers.

Police said the man entered Coral Bookmakers on Huddersfield Road, Low Moor, at about 7.35pm on Thursday.

The man used the knife to threaten the staff before stealing the money.

He turned right as he left the shop and headed towards a housing estate.

The man is described as having dark or possibly Asian skin, about 6ft tall and of “scrawny” build.

He wore a balaclava, a grey hooded tracksuit top with the hood pulled above his head and gloves.

Det Insp Andy Howard, of Bradford District CID, said: “We believe there were a number of people in the area at the time of this robbery.

“We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened, or who has any information about the offence.”
