A fundraising event organised by Mayor of Todmorden Coun Michael Gill will be photographs of old Todmorden - and as well as coming along to see it he hopes people will also contribute to it!

It will be held in the foyer at the Hippddrome Theatre, Halifax Road, Todmorden, on Saturday, March 21, at 2pm for 2.30 start (there will be an interval with a complimentary brew and cake), with images lines up from Todmorden Photographic Society’s archive.

The Mayor says: “It will primarily be a slide show presentation but we are also asking for members of the public to search there attics and backs of cupboards to find photos of Todmorden from the 80s and earlier so we can also have up a display of Todmorden through the years, for all to see.

“You can drop photos intoTodmorden Information Centre, with written name and return address on the backs of each - please put them in a sealed envelope.

“We can then return them after the display unless anyone wants to donate them to the photographic society archive.”

Tickets are £5 and will be available in advance from the information centre, the photographic society and the Mayor himself.
