COMING up is the Stubbing Wharf, Hebden Bridge, Apple Day on Saturday, October 22, commencing at noon.
Famous for its summer cider festival, the pub also hosts this annual celebration of the fruit that makes a wonderful drink.
Landlord Matt Browne says: “We offer apple juice, a range of bottled and draft ciders and apple pressing, as well as apple-related food, entertainment and fun and games. Cider enthusiasts and connoisseurs came from the region and further afield.”
With this growing following and a range of bottled ciders and more than 20 real farmhouse ciders from numerous craft-producers on draft, the Apple Day certainly is a mini cider festival for the real enthusiasts of traditional ciders.
It is a family day too, with a variety of different apple juices available; you can even bring your own apples and press your own juice.
