Calderdale Forum 50+ would like to invite everyone with an interest in the over 50s to a Network 50+ event at Mytholmroyd Community Centre on Monday, April 29, from 10am to 12.30pm.
There will be information available from a range of organisations, from the Green Doctor and Cutting Hedge to Todmorden U3A and the Calder Valley Club. Coun Janet Battye, Deputy Leader of the Council will be a speaker.
It will include opportunities to ask questions, take part in workshops and swap ideas and information. Free refreshments will be available.
Forum chairwoman Christine Potter said: “There have been many changes to the way things are run and a great deal of tightening of budgets. Now more than ever we want to find out what is available for older people, what is needed, and how we can all work together to improve things. The information that we gather at these events can be used to signpost older people to groups and that bit of extra help that can improve their health, wellbeing and quality of life.”
