Pounds for Pudsey jingling thanks to centre’s gift

THANKS to Todmorden Sports Centre, a sell-out Christmas party this weekend looks set to raise a bumper sum for a children’s good cause.

The Jo Jingles fun music and movement will see Todmorden children who attend its classes joined by others from Littleborough, Rossendale, Rochdale, Bury and Heywood with all profits going to the BBC’s Children In Need charity.

Jo Corbett, of Jo Jingles, said all tickets had now been sold for two parties at the sports centre on December 17, where both Children In Need mascot Pudsey Bear and Big Jo - Jo Jingles’ own mascot - will be attending.

She said: “Todmorden Sports Centre have very kindly donated their sports hall so that Children in Need can have the money raised by ticket sales.

“With 50 or so children at each party, around 100 children are coming to sing and play and we are all set to have an exciting afternoon.

“As well as the sports centre, can we also thank all the Jo Jinglers out there who meet every week in our classes, which have already raised more than £1,100 this year in a sponsored nursery rhyme sing-along during Children In Need week in November.”
